Trump Tax Cut Creates Solar Jobs
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 30, 2018
Springfield, MO – Locally owned solar and energy efficiency provider, Sun Solar, announces rapid expansion which will create 30 additional jobs. Sun Solar, previously ranked 156th on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in the nation and awarded Dynamic Dozen’s #1 fastest growing business by the Springfield Business Journal in 2017, accredits this most recent employment increase to Trump’s tax cuts.
The final plan passed by the United States Senate and House Representatives based on the Trump Administration Plans cuts the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21% in 2018. Sun Solar CEO, Caleb Arthur, quickly identified the opportunity to utilize those savings towards bringing more jobs to Springfield, investing $1 million into hiring and training 30 new employees.
Sun Solar, who had approximately 100 employees as they entered 2018, proudly maintains that 17% of their workforce are Military Veterans but the company is committed to getting that up to 25%.
In preparation for these 30 additional employees, 15 of which have already been hired and are in training, Arthur purchased a new $1 million company headquarters in North Springfield which they will move into in May. The new 15,400 square foot building offers both office and warehouse space for the company, but Arthur states they have already outgrown their new home.
In addition to the Springfield expansion, Sun Solar is investing an additional $300,000 into the Kansas City Market. With an office in Olathe, Kansas, the company is focusing and investing heavily in the Kansas City area to brand and grow the business.
