Jefferson City, Missouri – January 30, 2024.
Sun Solar LLC and Encina Infrastructure Partners LLC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a solar project aptly named Mark Twain No.1. Sun Solar is the largest residential solar installer in the State of Missouri. Encina is a renewable energy company seeking investment in renewable energy in the United States. Encina chose Missouri as their first location for a 50 to 100 MW solar farm to produce energy for 10,000 to 20,000 homes. Caleb Arthur, founder and chairman of Sun Solar and Stevens Moore, founder and managing partner of Encina signed a memorandum of understanding while attending the presentation of the amended Missouri Net Metering Act. The Governor’s Office and numerous legislators were receptive to investment in the State of Missouri that symbolizes Missouri’s effort to provide home grown renewable energy for Missouri residents, industry, and government. The solar farm will be coordinated with community partners, electricity providers, and Missouri’s farmers to develop solar energy that respects Missouri’s goals to develop locally owned and managed renewable energy.
