Energy Sector & President Trump’s Election

Arthur noted that President Trump’s proposed tariffs, including a 10% tariff on all U.S. imports and a 60% tariff on Chinese-made products, could bring new opportunities for American manufacturing. “We see these tariffs as a potential catalyst for domestic growth within the solar industry, encouraging U.S.-based companies to expand production and reduce reliance on foreign components,” Arthur stated. “At Sun Solar, we’re actively exploring partnerships with domestic manufacturers to strengthen our supply chain and keep costs competitive for our customers.” 

While tariffs may prompt shifts in pricing and sourcing strategies, Arthur believes this policy could foster a stronger American solar industry. “Supporting U.S.-based manufacturing can boost local economies and create job opportunities, aligning well with Sun Solar’s commitment to community growth and sustainable energy solutions,” he said.
